Uses.-China root is used in india to some extent like sarsaparilla,as adepurative,diaphoretic,stimulant,al;ternative,antisyphilitic,sudorific, demulcent,and as a tonic and aphrodisaic in the form of decoction in a pint of water and boiled down. It is boiled in milk to which mastaki,cardomoms and cinnamon are added and taken tnernally in rheumatism,gout,esilepsy,chronic nervous diseases,cachexia,seminal weakness and constitutional syphilis. It is used along with anantamul and other drugs of reputed efficacy insyphilis and rheumatism etc.
