Uses: Seeds yield a medicinal oil.It is an agreeable aromatic stimulant and is used for flavouring. It acts as astomachic, used to allay irtritation of the stomach produced either by cholera or some other affections.To promotes elimination of bile; amd useful in liver function such as congestion of liver, especially where abscess threatens.It is used as in gonorrhoea, it is used as an aphrodisiac. The drug is also used in scorpion- sting and snake-bite.Both in the indigenous and western medicines, cardamom is used as a frequent adjunct to other stimulants, bitters and purgatives, in the form of tincture or powder.
