Uses:Leaf paste is applied on the skin for fever or inflammatory conditions. Young leaves of lotus taken with sugar are used to treat rectal prolapse. The leaves can also be used to treat sunstroke, diarrhea, and dysentery. They are also helpful in treating dizziness and blood vomiting. Stamens, jaggary, and ghee are used to treat hemorrhoids. Leaves and flowers are used to treat many bleeding disorders. The Lotus flower is prescribed to promote conception. When combined with other herbs, the flower stalk treats uterine bleeding. The seeds and petals are mixed with honey and powdered to treat cough. Lotus, combined with milk, ghee, and gold, is considered a tonic that promotes strength, masculinity, and intelligence.
