Uses.-an infusion or decoction of flowers has been recommended in cases of dyspepsia,nausea and fevers in doses of half to two ounces;it is also useful in preventing scalding in gonorrhoea and renal diseases. Dried root and root-bark mixed with curdled milk makes a useful application to abscesses. Fruits of the leaves is given with honey to relieve colic. Young leaves contused and macerated in water and instilled into the eyes clear the vision. Leaves annointed with ghee and sprinkled over with cumin seed power are placed round the head to relieve puerperal mania,delirium and maniacal excitement .The drug is used in scorption-sting etc.
