Eng- Tinnevelly or Indian Senna, Hind- Hindi-sana, Ben-Sona- mukhi, Arab- Sana-e-Hindi, Duk- Nat-ki-sona, Gu- Senamakki, Mah- Mulcacha sonamakki, Tel- Naelaponna, Tam- Nilavakai; Mal- Nilavaka, Can- Nilavarai
Uses.-This was used as an adulterant to ordinary senna but was not recognised in the pharmacopoeia. This is another source of medicinal senna leaves; its composition is almost the same as that of c. lanceolata etc.
