Description

Aloe Vera resin is very useful in various applications of medicine. It is a hard, black colored resin, a natural herb with a very bitter taste and used to breastfeed children

Uses.– It is a laxtive tonic useful in diseases of the spleen; the docoction of the root is prescribed as a febrifuge; very largely used in mysore as an aperient and as an emmenagogue. Freshly expressed juice is in almost universal use as an external refrigerant application to all external or local inflammations. Mixed with butter it is applied to ulcers to relieve the burning sensations.Tuber ground into paste with turmeric powder added is applied as lep to inflamed or diseased breasts etc.
