Description

Eng- Canarese Pepper; Abortive Pepper- corns, Hind, & Mah- Pokala-miri, Tel- Murial- tiga.

Wild pepper generally refers to the leaves of a species of plant called “Piper sarmentosum”. It is used as a spice and flavoring in dishes in Thailand and other Asian countries. In particular, it plays an important role in the Thai dish Miang Kham. Some people also refer to it as “wild Szechuan pepper,” but it is a different plant, 

காட்டு மிளகு என்பது பொதுவாக, “பைபர் சர்மென்டோசம்” என்று அழைக்கப்படும் ஒருவகை இலைகளைக் குறிக்கும். இது தாய்லாந்து மற்றும் பிற ஆசிய நாடுகளில் மசாலாப் பொருளாகவும், உணவுகளில் சுவைக்காகவும்  பயன்படுத்தப்படுகிறது. குறிப்பாக, தாய்லாந்தின் மியாங் காம் என்ற உணவில் இது முக்கியப் பங்கு  வகிக்கிறது. இதை, “காட்டு செச்சுவான் மிளகுத்தூள்” என்றும் சிலர்  குறிப்பிடுகின்றனர், ஆனால் அது வேறுவகைத் தாவரமாகும்
