Description

Kadukaai powder   is an herb derived from the fruit of the Terminalia chebula tree. For  its potential therapeutic properties.

Sans.-Haritaki; Eng.-Chebulic Myrobalan; Gallnut; Fr.-Badamier Chebule. Ger.-Risiger Myrobala-nenbaum. Hindi.-Harada. Punj.& Duk.-Zard halela. Guj.-Himmaja; Mah.-Hirada; Tel.-Karakkaya,Karaka; Tam.-Kadukkai; Can..-Anilaykayi.

Uses.-Chebulic myrobalans are used(especially the bangari variety)in fevers,cough,asthma.urinary diseases,piles,worms and rhematism,and scorption-string.Barayed with sugar and water it is used in ophthalmia. java harade is used similarly. cold infusion of it  is used as a gargle in sore mouth and stomatitis,spongy and ulcerated gums etc.
