Uses.-Chebulic myrobalans are used(especially the bangari variety)in fevers,cough,asthma.urinary diseases,piles,worms and rhematism,and scorption-string.Barayed with sugar and water it is used in ophthalmia. java harade is used similarly. cold infusion of it  is used as a gargle in sore mouth and stomatitis,spongy and ulcerated gums etc.
