Uses : In Ayurveda, the bones and joints are considered as the site of Vata dosha in the body. Any imbalance in the Vata dosha will lead to joint pains. Uses.-Plant and dired spiny fruits are used in decoction or infusion in cases of spermatorrhoea,phosphaturia,diseases of the genito-urinary system such dysuria,ganorrhoea,gleet,chronic cystitis,calculous affections,urinary disorders,incontinence of urine,gout and impotence.
Water rendered mucilaginous by the plant is drunk as a remedy for impotence and an infusion of the stem is administered in gonorrhoea. It is generally given with hyoscyamus and opium conditions of the urinary passages etc. | Akkaraa, to treat rheumatoid arthritis, seizure disorders, erectile dysfunction and indigestion.

Uses : It is sialogogue and is regarded as a tonic to the nervous system. A decoction of the room is useful as a gargle in carious teeth toothache , sore -throat and tonsillitis. it has been given in paralysis hemiplegia epilepsy chorea and rheumatism and a other diseases ect.

Uses:The better and purer quality oil,clear, (plain or in emulsion with mueilage) inflammation condition bowels in the diarrhoea of often combined with opium facilitate operation for lithotomony useful for purgative of the pharmacopoeia etc.

Uses.- This is a popular remedy forcough, coryza, hayasthma, bronchinal affectiona and diseases of the respiratory passages generally, also given for worms, bowel-complaints and as paste with sugar in gonorrhoea and other venereal disases.
It should be given after meals.It has been found by me very beneficial in cases of asthma etc.
